I have a 5 item list and my carts always full. my husband gets wuts on it and gets out. but how would u save gas by getting just the things on the list? if you need something else, you have to go back...by buying way more then the stuff on the list, you wont make a return trip because chances are...it was one of the 30 extra things we got.
