Politics is about power, power is the ability of A to make B do what B would not have done in absences of A.

Even a child which you refered in your text as nunny plays politics and has power.when a child cries in the middle of the night he or she will make the father or the mother awake.whether you will like it or not you will wake up and attend to the needs of that child.That is politics.when the people put demands on a government for their needs to be fulfil that is also politics.

In short, politics is the ability of one person to influence another person or a group of people for fulfilment of a need or needs.
