Mother Worries Noise From Jackhammers May Harm Her Unborn Child
Mellissa Williamson, a resident of Roanoke Virginia, has had enough. Seems the sound of jackhammers from road construction is driving her crazy - in fact it’s so bad she worries about the effects the noise may have on her unborn baby. Nevermind the cigarette in her hand. Oops.
Isn’t that ironic, don’t you think? Yea it’s old news, but may have been overlooked. There’s just not enough emphasis placed on protecting your child from loud noises, might cause birth defects and cancer and stuff ya know…

Of Course the jack hammers are whats going to hurt the baby! The baby is gonna come out w/ smoke comin out its ears and lung cancer, but its gonna b the jackhammers that caused it! uh huh…

That is so dumb…
But consdering this my mum has had 4 kidz and thats were shes stopping but she smoked ciggarettes all threw every pregnancy and it says that smoking with being pregnant the baby may have some sort of deffects.But as im the eldest child i can personally say that none of her 4 children has had any sort of deffects.

Sad but true that most people would sooner place blame on an external, more than likely unconcerned party, than to look in the mirror. But there is some viability in the argument that very loud noises can cause problems for an embryo (though at the late stage of pregnancy this photo exhibits… inconceivable.)
The idea behind it is that the vibrations caused by the given sound my be enough to move a gene or two during recombination of the DNA. Granted that it would take a much stronger source of sound to do this. Sound, after all, is energy; and should be treated the same way as you would any other form (light, electric, kinetic.)Its slightly likely that this woman had heard of some speculation on the matter and truly did fear for her child; though her area of residence speaks for itself… (speaking from the point of view of one who has lived in such parts of America)
Oh, and Jessica dear… if you were trying to convey the sarcastic message of “Smoking will screw you up!” well done! If not… please learn how to use spell check when posting online, lest your opinions on matters at hand will be somewhat less than enthusiastic of your cause.
