You should NEVER run from a bear, its like running from an excited dog!!!! you should either take off your back pack or sleeping bag and hope the bear is more interested in that. Play dead (some people have survived this way). or in a last resort, make yourself as big as possible and scream at the top of your voice, and sometime bears think you are scary!! remember this info in the few second you have to make a decision!! lol
