Based on the number of comments you’ve made on this thread, you seem to take this “Joke site” a little more seriously than I do. Pot calling the kettle black? (that was an example of deductive reasoning – try it! ).

Too bad you don’t think you need my advice. I gave very good reasons why you might, and you’ve yet to refute those. Patriarchal societies still have nothing to do with your original argument, yet you added that comment underscoring your emotional response which still waters your argument. So, go ahead and change the issue based on how you feel instead of addressing the issue at hand. But that’s ok, that’s what women do according to Louann Brizendine – I’ve already read the book

So, to that end, I know you’ll respond yet again to this “Joke site”, just to have the last word even if it is irrelevant to your initial argument, because that’s what women do. I however, have the self control and lack of interest to continue debating with someone that doesn’t understand logic. Emotional rants last forever.

Perhaps men dictators don’t have any effect on intelligence whatsoever, but I added that part in to emphasize my point on patriarchal societies. These dictators were all men because women had no right to vote, or take place in any other political things for that matter. Maybe women would have become dictators in an equal society. But there’s no point in going on about maybe’s and what-if’s.
Oh, and by the way, thanks for your advice, but I really don’t need it. Aren’t you the one who’s ranting about how do write an effective argument on a joke site? Because in life everybody really needs to be able argue effectively on a joke site, don’t they? Thought so too.

While your evidence presenting women scientists is a valid counter reply to the list of men scientists, showing women can indeed be equally recognized for their intelligence, additionally listing men dictators completely waters your argument.

That men have been dictators has no effect whatsoever on how intelligent men (or women) can be. Einstein is no less a brilliant mind because Hitler was a dictator. Or Marie Curie for that matter. To imply such underscores emotional retaliation which taints any unbiased position you might have had.

An even better counter would have been to list great women scientists without needing to parenthesize who they were, because doing so implies they weren’t as great since they possibly weren’t immediately recognizable.

I’d recommend reading about Deductive Reasoning and perhaps reading some of the great logicians (Aristotle, Thomas Aquinas, etc) to understand how to make an effective argument. Otherwise you come across as just ranting.
