Yeah I know I’ve met a few people like that before, but still no matter what we do those types of people will never cease to exist. I’ve always thought that just because their are people who don’t contribute to society doesn’t mean we should just not give a helping hand to anyone. Those who really would use any given opportunity to better themselves wouldn’t get the chance to. For example, if we just say lets not give anyone food stamps becuase everyone should work then then those who are cheating the system wouldn’t be able to any longer. On the other hand, a single mother with a part time job trying to raise her kids would suffer greatly and so would her kids. I guess when it comes down to it I do understand and respect your point of view, but I have too big of a heart to agree. Anyways, back to the joking about race…it’s not a big deal if its all done in fun. Watch this video its pretty funny.

By the way HEIDI, I said cut programs for minorities, they could still get regular aid (even though we don’t need that. I think it all goes back to history. If you think about it not everyone was equal in the past, so these programs are to make up fpr it. For example a black guy, who’s ancestors could only have a limited type of job, probably has it harder than a white man who’s ancestors were company owners. There’s a lot of people out there who had it way easier because of their parents and ancestors’ past accomplishments. This was not the same for minorities back in the day, so maybe thats why these programs were put in effect.
I didn’t vote for this man and I don’t believe he is the one, bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia a BIG NONO. NO PRESIDENT has ever done that, this man has Muslim roots. Well it does seem that there will never be world peace, but I have faith that there will be world peace one day. I am not black, but I can see why Obama’s face is everywhere. With him being president it gives hope everywhere that one day people will forget about race and color and just see everyone equally. Well I do admit that I have had a lot of friends who pull out the race card a lot. With that being said there’s also just a lot of racism out there because of US history. I lived my whole life in New Jersey and up north there’s not a lot of racism because there’s so many different colors and races that it would be kind of ridiculous to be racist. Now that I’m living in the south I realized just how racist people really are. I’m hispanic, but I have white skin and black people here are always saying racist comments about me white girl this and white girl that. White people are always saying mexican this and mexican that. Its not only minorities who pull out the race card though, I have a few white friends who do it just as much. I think the day will come where nobody will be 100% anything. The world is going to be so mixed that if you’re a racist then you basically don’t like yourself. That will be the day that racism will cease to exist.

I think that the only reason Obama is president is because people wanted to see the US have their first black president. No one really cared what he believed in and all black people seen was someone of their race going to be president and they voted for him i bet half of the black people who voted for Obama have no idea what he is about. Heya there will never be equality until we take away all the extras we give to minorities like indians, balcks, mexicans, or whoever. If you tried to start an all white organization you would be called rasicts trying to bring back segregation. But yet it is okay to have all indian, all black, or all hispanic groups. Allen those extras were given to whites for many years when minorities were not given anything at all let alone extras. America used to belong to the Indians and their land was taken from them and you don’t think they deserve extra help? Blacks were slaves and worked for free. They had the worst schools and could not receive a proper education and you don’t think they should get any extra help? Mexicans were stripped from their land where they had to give up their homes and you don’t think they should get any help? Maybe it’s someone else’s turn don’t you think? Maybe when things even out and there are similar amounts of minorities making the big bucks then these “extras” won’t be needed. When that happens there will be minorities who can afford to pay for their children’s college education, or pay for a tutor when their child has difficulty learning, or pay enough taxes so that their schools can have a textbook for every child. The school I went to had like 10 math textbooks and there were thirty of us so we had to share and couldn’t take the books home to study. There is a reason behind these “extras” as you call them. There are just a lot of people who talk without knowing and there are some things that you learn through experience. When you live in a middle class town and everything is fine and dandy it’s very easy to criticize the less fortunate.

Heidi, i agree with everything you say one hundred percent. i also believe that one day we will reach a point where world peace is upon us. i dont know who said it, but somebody once said “When the power of love is greater than the love of power, then the world will know peace.” I believe that one day we will all grow up, and realize we are all equals, and then we will live in peace. race wont matter then. && yes, barack obama is a great man and he is doing great things with our country. a helluva lot better than bush. i believe that behind him we will find all we need to accomplish peace.

I do understand that everyone had it tough in America, but there was segregation where minorities (not only blacks) had poor schooling and whites received a better education. Which is why I feel like whites did have a headstart. I for one do not want any extra help. I am very independent and do not need these extras, but I still think its not fair to say they shouldn’t exist unless you have experienced living in the ghetto. If you have lived in a nice middle class neighborhood growing up, then good for you, but that doesn’t mean everyone had it as good as you did. Sometimes it takes thinking about someone other than yourself to understand where I’m coming from.
